Teresa Śliwińska MA passed away

We regret to inform you that Teresa Śliwińska MA passed away on 01 June 2021. Ms Śliwińska was a retired teacher of Russian at the Foreign Languages Centre at the Silesian University of Technology.

From 1966 to 1968 Teresa Śliwińska MA worked as a teacher at the Vocational Technical School for the Employed. Since 1968 she worked at the Foreign Languages Centre as a teacher, then as a lecturer (since 1981) and senior lecturer (since 1988). She also worked as a translator.

She was a highly respected teacher, always very supportive to students and other staff.  For her teaching achievements she was granted several Rector's Awards by the Silesian University of Technology.

Ms Teresa Śliwińska will be remembered as a friendly, committed and kind person.

The Rector, the Senate and the Academic Community of the Silesian University of Technology would like to express their deepest sympathy and sorrow to the family, friends and dear ones.

The Funeral Mass will be held on 08 June 2021 at 10.00 a.m. in the Holy Cross Elevation Church in Gliwice. The funeral ceremony will be held on 08 June 2021 at 11.00 a.m. in the chapel at the Central Cemetery in Gliwice.
