National competition for student science clubs StRuNa 2026
We invite students involved in the activities of student science clubs at the Silesian University of Technology to participate in the StRuNa 2026 competition.
Until October 30th, 2026, you can submit applications for the 16th edition of the StRuNa 2026 competition. In the competition, science clubs and students who completed the most interesting projects between October 1st, 2025, and September 30th, 2026, will be awarded - (at that time the whole project or its main part could have been carried out).
In seven categories of the competition called “Projects,” the jury will assess specific, individual projects:
· Project of the Year 2026
· Conference of the Year 2026
· StRuNa-Tech 2026
· StRuNa-Science 2026
· StRuNa-Med 2026
· StRuNa-Human 2026
· StRuNa-Art 2026
In three categories in “Subject” category, the jury will take into account the entire activity of the science club over the last year:
· Student Science Club of the Year 2026
· Debiut of the Year 2026
· Scientific Supervisor of the Year 2026
The path to winning prizes starts with filling in one of the three competition forms available at https://struna.edu.pl/formularze-zgloszeniowe/ .
It is better not to postpone the application until the last minute, because in addition to filling in the form, you should attach attachments (e.g. presentation or video material is mandatory).
Both the second stage of the competition and the award ceremony (under the patronage of the Minister of Science and Higher Education) will take place on December 5 this year in Warsaw. In eight of the ten categories, the second stage takes the form of a stage presentation, directly in front of a 15-member jury.
The name of the competition (StRuNa 2026) comes from the first letters of the words: Studencki Ruch Naukowy (Student Scientific Movement). Since the first edition (2011), the competition has been organized by an independent non-governmental organization Foundation “Student Aid Fund”. The competition is part of a larger public task co-financed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
