Take part in the Bootcamp at the Université de Lorraine

Students of the Silesian University of Technology as part of the EURECA-PRO initiatives have the opportunity to take part in the French Horizons Bootcamp – Art, Tech & Inclusion Summer Lab, a practical international bootcamp organized by the Université de Lorraine, which will take place in Nancy from the 14th to 25th of June 2027

Bootcamp brings together students from diverse backgrounds and countries to explore together the secrets of art, technology, and integration through the realization of practical and interdisciplinary challenges. Working in international and interdisciplinary teams, participants will explore how new technologies can be used to make cultural experiences more accessible and inclusive.

During the bootcamp, students will have the opportunity to work with technologies such as 3D scanning, 3D printing, laser cutting and AR/VR, while developing a specific project in collaboration with other participants.

Why should EURECA-PRO students participate in the Bootcamp?

Bootcamp offers students a unique opportunity to:

· Work in an international and multidisciplinary environment, alongside students from different academic and cultural backgrounds.

· Develop practical skills in digital production and immersive technologies;

· Research inclusivity and accessibility through a specific challenge, combining technology and societal needs;

· Develop teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills in an intensive project environment;

· Participate in the teaching process in an international environment in Nancy, while establishing contacts with students and potential future colleagues from all over Europe;

· Take part in deliberations and discussions on topics closely related to the EURECA-PRO Compass Charter, and in particular on inclusiveness, accessibility, responsible innovation, and the role of universities in addressing societal challenges.

Bootcamp can therefore be seen as a practical opportunity to explore, through projects based on real-world situations, some of the values and principles that EURECA-PRO seeks to strengthen with its Compass Charter.

A special opportunity for EURECA-PRO students, including students of the Silesian University of Technology

The University of Lorraine has reserved 5 places specifically for EURECA-PRO students at a significantly reduced registration fee: 900 euros instead of 1800 euros.

The registration fee covers the costs of the bootcamp program and accompanying classes throughout its duration, with the exception of travel costs (to and from Nancy) and 6 dinners, which participants must cover themselves.

5 places have been reserved for EURECA-PRO students until October 23. Students may still register after this date, subject to availability, but there is no guarantee that they will be accepted. Participation in the Bootcamp will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Students who complete all Bootcamp classes will receive 3 ECTS points.

Please note: No Learning Agreement (LA) or Diploma will be issued. Students will receive a course completion certificate corresponding to 3 ECTS credits. Participants are therefore advised to check at their home university whether the points earned can be recognized as part of their study program.
