Further successes of Silesian Greenpower

Students of the Silesian University of Technology from Silesian Greenpower performed successfully in the F24 competition held on tracks in Great Britain in September.

In September, the team took part in three Formula F24 races. They did best in the first one, which took place at the Aintree track in Liverpool. There, Silesian Greenpower cars took the first three places. That's a great result!

In the next competition, on the Lotus track, one of the cars managed to take the lowest place on the podium. The remaining cars finished the race in fourth and ninth place.

The third September competition took place at the Mallory Park track.

- Unfortunately, we did a bit worse here. Our cars took 5th, 7th and 8th place. In the general classification, before the international final at Goodwood, our SG Bullet III and SG SGR2020 cars are tied for 4th place with three other cars. Our newest SG Carbon car is tied for 13th place out of 81 competing cars – explains Prof. Dr Hab. Eng. Andrzej Baier, team coordinator. - In total, this year we won seven cups and medals, as well as an award from Ford for innovations introduced in the racing cars. Our trip was financed by the Silesian University of Technology as a strategic group - we would like to thank our University for the support.
