Join the 21st Researchers' Night of the Silesian University of Technology to see that science is at your fingertips. We are opening workshops and laboratories on 4 university campuses: Gliwice, Zabrze, Katowice, and Rybnik.
You are invited to join us on the 10th of October 2026
Electricity that supports diagnosis and treatment, the longest nanotube in the world, stadium engineering tricks and roofs hanging in the air, membranes of the future in the fight against the greenhouse effect. These are just some of the popular science activities you can participate in during the 21st edition of the Researchers' Night of the Silesian University of Technology!
Join us in exploring scientific solutions, engineering projects, topics in physics, chemistry, biology, civil engineering, mechanics, and many other fields. See for yourself that science is truly at your fingertips. Participants of this year's Researchers' Night of the Silesian University of Technology, on October the 10th, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on 4 university campuses: Gliwice, Zabrze, Katowice and Rybnik will be able to take part in over 250 popular science activities prepared by scientists, students and doctoral students of the Silesian University of Technology, as well as event partners. - "Be like a surgeon – even if only for a moment!",
- "MoveWell VR – a rehabilitation game in virtual reality",
- “Driver simulator, or how does the human factor affect road safety?”
- "When the mind controls the world – EEG and brain-computer interfaces",
- “How to find invisible damage? “Laser, vibrations and physics in action,”
- "Building from the Inside Out – Discover the Secrets of Construction and Prevent Disaster"
- “Electricity teaches and entertains – from sea wind to lightning!”
We will also reach out to the world of music for scientific issues. On this occasion, we have prepared a unique lecture "From movement to moving music" by Dr Hab. Eng.
