Recruitment for the OFF-Science competition is now open!
Do you create innovations? Apply to the OFF-Science competition, which is organised as part of the Silesian Science Festival Katowice by the Academic Consortium Katowice – City of Science, of which the Silesian University of Technology is a member.
The OFF-Science competition, which has been organised for several years and has accompanied the Silesian Science Festival Katowice for years, is now even more open to individuals, teams, schools, organisations, and institutions creating their own solutions – regardless of age, education, or experience.
We invite innovators, tinkerers, inventors, enthusiasts, pupils, students, members of scientific clubs, organisations and all those who see problems and propose their own ways of solving them to participate. OFF Science is a space for both simple amenities that make everyday life easier, as well as for more complex projects, concepts, models, and solutions with the potential for further development or implementation.
The aim of the competition is to develop interest in inventions, promote pro-innovation attitudes, and appreciate creators whose ideas can lead to the creation of original, practical, and useful solutions. OFF Science shows that innovation can arise not only in laboratories and research institutions, but also in schools, workshops, gardens, home studios, organizations, and local communities.
In the new formula, applications are accepted in two categories:
Idea Farm – for finished inventions, practical improvements and working prototypes that exist in physical form and can be presented during the competition finals.
Forge of Innovation – for projects, concepts, models, and solutions with the potential for further development, application, or implementation.
Projects submitted to OFF Science demonstrate that creativity, knowledge, and practical experience can have a real impact on improving the quality of life of residents of the region and beyond. The competition encourages to ask questions, seek new paths, and develop ideas that address the specific needs of the modern world.
Apply today via the FORM.
Detailed information and competition rules can be found at the website: The 9th Silesian Science Festival Katowice.
