Another success of the Silesian University of Technology in acquiring projects from the Horizon Europe program

The Silesian University of Technology is once again making its presence felt in the European research space. The team led by Prof. Anna Skorek-Osikowska obtained funding from the Horizon Europe program for the implementation of the DREAMTEAM project. The project focuses on technology for capturing, using, and storing carbon dioxide. 

DREAMTEAM Project (“Direct-Radio Frequency-Enhanced Air Capture With Mass-Producible Micro-Structured Contactors And Transformative Environmentally Benign, Advanced Materials For Low-Cost Deployment”), will be implemented in an international consortium whose partner is the Silesian University of Technology. Its aim is to develop innovative technologies for direct capture of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere (Direct Air Capture) using advanced materials and innovative design solutions. The solutions developed are intended to contribute to the development of more effective and economically accessible methods of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

This is the second Horizon Europe project awarded to the team of Prof.  Anna Skorek-Osikowska in just six months. Previously, scientists from this team obtained funding for the UNCOVER project (“UNlocking the industrial COVERsion of CO₂ into renewable, long-lasting and hybrid products”), the aim of which is to develop technologies for the use of carbon dioxide in industrial processes.
