Huge interest in university recruitment
Which fields of study are most frequently chosen by candidates to the Silesian University of Technology? Modern technologies, study fields of the future and an offer meeting the needs of the labour market attracted a huge number of candidates to the Silesian University of Technology. In this year's recruitment, for full-time and part-time first-cycle studies, candidates submitted a total of 15,429 applications – 4,821 more than a year ago.
Recruitment results show that candidates are increasingly willing to choose fields that respond to the challenges of digital transformation, the development of artificial intelligence and modern industry. The high interest in new fields of study launched by the Silesian University of Technology confirms the relevance of developing an educational offer tailored to the needs of the labour market and the expectations of future students.
The most frequently chosen fields of study include:
- Civil Engineering
- Automation and Robotics,
- Transport
- Aviation and Space Engineering,
- Computer Science
- Data Engineering and Artificial Intelligence,
- Biomedical Engineering,
- Architecture
- Artificial Intelligence.
Candidates also showed great interest in Power Industry, Mechatronics, Geodesy and Cartography, Mechanical Engineering and Machine Technology, Business Analytics, Management, Applied Linguistics, and Industrial Automation and Industrial Computer Science.
The qualification results will be announced on July 17th at 12:00. This is also the moment when qualified candidates can start submitting documents - the deadline for completing formalities is July 22nd at 5:00 PM.
Soon after, on July 24th, the second round of recruitment will start. It will last until August 31st and will cover those courses where the limit of places has not yet been reached.
