Anna Wyszkoni - the star of the Spring Concert!
Another unique Spring Concert of the Silesian University of Technology is behind us. This year, the event was graced by Anna Wyszkoni, an artist from Silesia, who celebrates the 30th anniversary of her artistic work.
The Spring Concert of the Silesian University of Technology took place on the 22nd of May 2026 in the House of Music and Dance in Zabrze. The guests were welcomed by Rector of the Silesian University of Technology, Prof. Dr Hab. Eng. Marek Pawełczyk, who thanked the academic community for their commitment and daily cooperation.
– Employees, PhD students, students, all sympathizers, and friends of the Silesian University of Technology – thank you for being here and for creating the Silesian University of Technology together. Together, we can overcome all the challenges. Thank you for your kind words, kindness, daily work, dedication, and support – said the Rector.
He also emphasized that the university is not only a place of work and learning, but also a space for building relationships and community.
– Silesian University of Technology is a place that connects. A place where we meet and share both professional and personal matters. Thank you for having decided to spend this evening together and celebrate together – he noted, adding that the Spring Concert symbolically closes the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the Silesian University of Technology.
The evening was filled with the greatest hits of Anna Wyszkoni. The artist, who has been one of the most appreciated Polish singers for years, referred to her Silesian roots and the jubilee of the university.
– It is always nice to return to Silesia, because I come from this region of Poland. Thank you for the invitation. I am happy to be able to celebrate 81 years with you. That's a lot. I am celebrating 30 years of work this year, a little less. If my health allows, I want to be on stage as long as possible – said the artist.
Anna Wyszkoni is one of the most experienced and valued singers on the Polish music scene. She has an impressive number of hits, awards, and distinctions, and over half a million albums sold. Her two solo albums - "Pan i Pani" and "Życie jest w porządku" - earned double platinum status, and her third album, "Jestem tu nowa", was covered with "Gold". During the concert, the artist also recalled the hits of the band “Łzy.”
The audience gathered in the House of Music and Dance awarded the artist with ovations, and the concert became a unique culmination of the jubilee time for the community of the Silesian University of Technology.
