Scientists of the Silesian University of Technology in the list of TOP 100 Women in Biotech in Poland
Dr Eng. Marcelina Jureczko and Dr Eng. Małgorzata Adamiec-Organiściok were included in the list of TOP 100 Women in Biotech in Poland. The list was prepared by the “Perspektywy Education Foundation.” The aim of the program is to support, promote and distinguish outstanding women active in the field of biotechnology.
Dr Eng. Marcelina Jureczko from the Biotechnology Centre of the Silesian University of Technology, was nominated in the “Biotech for a Better World” category, while Dr Eng. Małgorzata Adamiec-Organiściok from the Department of Systems Biology and Engineering of the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science, was nominated in the category “Leaders in Biotech Education”.
Biotechnology is one of the cornerstones of the modern world - it drives scientific discoveries, medical breakthroughs, sustainable solutions, and innovations that directly impact people's health and quality of life.
The aim of the TOP 100 Women in Biotech in Poland initiative is to honour the most outstanding women operating in the area of biotech, not only for scientific and technological achievements, but also for the role of mentors, leaders, and inspiring models for the young generation of researchers and students.
Among the TOP 100 Women in Biotech in Poland, the TOP 10 Women in Biotech will be selected, whose achievements will be presented during the gala at the “Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2026”, which will take place in June 2026 in Warsaw.
