4th International Conference on Responsible Consumption and Production
The EURECA-PRO conference on issues related to responsible consumption and production took place on 23rd -24th September at the Cretan University of Technology. It is an interdisciplinary forum for practitioners, academic and scientific experts to exchange experiences, research results, and the latest developments in the implementation of the 12th UN Sustainable Development Goal.
This year’s edition of the conference was attended by over 30 PhD students and scientists from the Silesian University of Technology. The participants of the two-day meeting from all EURECA-PRO partner universities discussed, among other things, the definition of activities within the seven Flagships, i.e. specific departments of our European university EURECA-PRO. One of them was initiated by Dr Eng. Marcin Górski, Professor at the SUT, Director of the Project Management Centre at the Silesian University of Technology, Head of the EURECA-PRO project at our University, together with Prof. Noni Maravelaki from the Cretan University of Technology and Prof. Wouter Schroyers of Hasselt University.
People associated with the Silesian University of Technology participate very actively in all the activities. The conference provides a benchmark for leading researchers in the fields of sustainable consumption and production, enabling discussion on current and future challenges and innovative solutions, taking into account the technological, humanistic, economic, social, and environmental dimensions of responsible consumption and production.
