The Intelligent Development Forum is a nationwide economic and scientific congress, which this year celebrated its 10th anniversary edition. The event is a unique space for dialog between the scientific community, business, administration, and investors. This year’s edition was held under the slogan: “What should you invest In In 2025 to grow smart?” The agenda of the Forum has been designed to inspire participants and equip them with specific tools supporting investment decision making. The Forum brought together over 550 leaders representing various fields of development, providing a space to exchange experiences, promote innovative projects and seek answers to current development challenges. FIR (Intelligent Development Forum} is not only a congress – it is also an incubator of the future, supporting the transfer of knowledge to practice and building relationships around real actions for sustainable development.

The scientist of the Silesian University of Technology received two awards: “Researcher of the Future” for advanced research on innovation in mobility management and the “Polish Intelligent Development Award”, which was awarded to a research team under her leadership for the implementation of the project “Support of the staff in the intensification of scientific activities in the field of transformation of transport toward green and digital economy”.

- Winning as many as two awards during the Intelligent Development Forum is of great importance to me - says Prof Katarzyna Turoń. - The first of them is confirmation that the undertaken research topic is important and future-oriented. The second, extremely valuable, also underlines my role as a team leader, which is especially important for me because behind every project there are people, their competence and commitment.

She explains that her research focuses on issues related to innovation management in the area of mobility and transport, especially in the context of their transformation toward a green and digital economy.

- I am interested in how modern approaches, including organizational and technological innovation, can support the development of more sustainable, efficient, and friendly mobility systems. Open innovation holds a special place in my research – an approach with enormous potential that is still not talked about. I believe that only through cooperation between science, public administration, business, and end users can we create real and valuable changes – admits the winner of two awards. - At this point I would like to thank people who care for proper implementation of the project on a daily basis – Dr Hab. Eng. Andrzej Kubik, Prof. SUT, and Anna Wieczorek MA, Elżbieta Gorgoń, MSc. Andrzej Trzaska and the entire team of the Project Management Centre, especially Joanna Schwarz, MA – for their invaluable support, professionalism, and commitment.
