On June 6th, 2025, at the Gliwice airport, the conference Droniada Tech by Silesian University of Technology will take place. This is the third edition of the event, which this year will be held under the slogan “Air robotics: From prototyping to the economics of urban drone services.”

Droniada Tech by Silesian University of Technology is one of the paths of XII Droniada GZM 2025. It is organized for the third time by the Silesian University of Technology and the Micromacro Institute Foundation.
The conference brings together representatives of the academic, local, and business community interested in the development and implementation of innovative technological services in the urban space.

The organizers of this year’s conference want to focus on three areas:
- prototyping innovative solutions for smart cities,
- development of the drone services market in local governments, including the shared services centre model,
- economic and legal aspects related to the implementation of modern technologies.

The program of the event includes.
• presentation of the concept of designing cities open to social and technological innovation,
• discussion of the key technologies that make up the smart city,
• analysis of the process of transforming prototypes into market services,
• discussion on the development of drone service centres in local governments,
• identification of the necessary technological competences for drone service centres,
• analysis of economic aspects of drone services and public procurement.

The knowledge presented during the Droniada Tech conference will be particularly valuable for scientists and students interested in future technologies, representatives of local governments planning the development of smart cities, companies from the drone and technology industry, institutions managing urban and critical infrastructure, public procurement specialists and managers responsible for implementing innovations in cities.
