Visit of the delegation from Tanta University

A delegation from Tanta University is visiting Silesian University of Technology The aim of the meeting is to expand cooperation between universities.

Tanta University is a university originating from Egypt, which has been successfully cooperating with the Silesian University of Technology for several years The delegation from Egypt consists of: 

• Professor Mohammed Hussain Mahmoud BSc, MSc, PhD, MEES, Rector of Tanta University
• Associate Professor, Dr. Saad Mohammed Ibrahim Ebied

The Silesian University of Technology is represented  by:    

• Prof. Marek Pawełczyk PhD, DSc - Rector of the Silesian University of Technology
• Prof. Sebastian Werle PhD, DSc - Vice Rector for Science and International Cooperation
• Prof. Tomasz Tański PhD, DSC - Head of Department of Engineering Materials and Biomaterials
• Wojciech Borek PhD, Eng. Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
• Grzegorz Kłapyta PhD, Eng. Head of International Relations Office
• Mohamed Elmosalamy – Erasmus student from Tanta University
• Ali abo Ghazala – Erasmus student from Tanta University

During the meeting, the potential of both universities was presented, the possibilities of expanding cooperation were discussed. The guests also visited the campus and laboratories of the Silesian University of Technology.

The visit of the delegation from Tanta University was also an opportunity to meet with Egyptian students who are staying at the Silesian University of Technology as part of the Erasmus + exchange.
