InterDoc Multicultural Day
InterDoc Multicultural Day was held on the 8th of April 2025 in CKS "Mrowisko” - an event organized by the University Self-Government Council of the Doctoral Students' and the Doctoral School of the Silesian University of Technology. The meeting was aimed at integrating the doctoral community, promoting intercultural exchange and the idea of sustainable development.
The event began with a ceremonial welcome of the guests, including first-year doctoral students and representatives of the Doctoral School, as well as a speech by the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology, Prof. Dr Hab. Eng. Marek Pawełczyk.
During the first panel, the objectives of the meeting were presented, and participants were invited to visit in the stands - tasting dishes from different countries prepared by PhD students and "thrift shop", i.e. exchanging clothes, books, and small items.
The second panel was devoted to integration – the participants took part in the game “Dating with science,” consisting of scientific “dates” at thematic tables.
In addition, creative activities were prepared - the search for surprise eggs in „Mrowsko" and colouring eggs with natural dyes (including onions, turmeric, beets, cabbage, grass).
Finally, the participants were encouraged to share ideas through a suggestion box.
The event was co-financed by the New International Horizons for Doctoral School (NIH4DS) project, implemented at the Doctoral School as part of the NAWA STER-Internationalization of Doctoral Schools program.
