Scientific stand-up workshops
Presenting scientific issues in a light and humorous way is a great way to attract the attention of recipients and interest them in learning. However, this requires proper preparation – that is why we invite you to a two-day scientific stand-up workshop on the 15th and 16th of May 2025 at the Silesian University of Technology.
Scientific stand-up is an unconventional form of popularization of science, which combines elements of entertainment and traditional stand-up with scientific topics. The Science Popularization Centre invites scientists and PhD students from universities and research institutes from all over Poland to participate in free two-day scientific stand-up workshops, which will be led by Antoni Syrek-Dąbrowski – comedian, improviser, active on the Polish comedy scene since 2010.

15th -16th 05.2025 – 2 days of workshops:
1 day at 09:00-15:00
2 day at 09:00-14:00
17.05.2025, 18:00 – live performances at the Spiral Club in Gliwice

Why is it worth taking part in the second edition of the Silesian Scientific Stand-up? Workshops and performances are conducted in a great, friendly atmosphere, so you can get used to presenting scientific content to a wide audience.
