THE METROPOLIS GAME popularizes knowledge about the Upper Silesian-Zagłębie metropolis and understanding of its multifaceted complexity. The game has been prepared for players of all ages. It offers a classic card game, arrangement of a metropolis map like a puzzle, supports orientation, contains quizzes and board games that bring knowledge about GZM (Upper Silesian-Zagłębie Metropolis) closer. The cards contain references to locations that can be experienced in the form of 3D models, also with the use of augmented reality. Playing THE METROPOLIS GAME demonstrates its potential, and also the game teaches while being played.
It is unique because:
- This is a game for everyone, not just architects.
- This is a game that you can play more effectively and win only by getting to know the metropolis well.
- This is a game in which the board is a fragment of the plan of the metropolis, and the fields in which the player invests are selected locations.
- It is a game that promotes public transport and supports more sustainable urban development.
- It is a local game, set geographically in the GZM Metropolis, in which quizzes refer to Silesian tradition and even language.
- It is also a card game in which the cards represent knowledge about the region and allow players to experience space in the form of 3D models.
- It has recognizable and unusual pawns depicting miniatures of the most important objects (Spodek, Radio Station, and others)
- This is a game where its design teaches.
