Another day of the visit of representatives of the Silesian University of Technology to India
The Silesian University of Technology delegation continues study visits to Indian universities. On February 19th, Prof. Sebastian Werle Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation and Dr Eng. Grzegorz Kłapyta, Head of the International Relations Office, went to Kolkata, where they visited Adamas University and JIS University (Group).
The aim of the next visit was to become familiarized with the didactic and research potential of both universities and to conclude cooperation agreements. The following SUT Faculties are interested in cooperation with Adamas University and JIS University (Group): Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science, Faculty of Chemistry and Biotechnology Centre at SUT. The agreements open the way for broad cooperation and at the same time are also an invitation to other Faculties.
At both universities, interesting schedules of visits have been prepared for our representatives in accordance with Indian tradition. Adamas University held a meeting with a wide group of university representatives at a round table, led by the Vice-Rector, Prof. Tamal Goswami, a specialist in computer science.

After the solemn ceremony of signing the cooperation agreement, another meeting with the participation of the Rector Prof. Samit Ray, Vice-Rector Prof. Suranjan Das and representatives of the International Relations Office took place.
Following the visit to Adamas University, the representatives of the Silesian University of Technology visited JIS University (Group), where there was also a ceremony of signing the cooperation agreement, a meeting with representatives of the authorities and the academic community of the university, as well as a presentation of the campus. Silesian University of Technology has concluded a cooperation agreement with JIS Group, which consists of the following entities: JIS University, JIS College of Engineering, Narula Institute of Technology, Guru Nanak Institute of Technology, Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Institute of Technology & Sports Complex and Guru Nanak Institute of Hotel Management.
The visit to Kolkata ended with a meeting with the representative of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Poland in India, Mr. Joydeep Roy. The participants discussed the development of cooperation with Indian universities.
