An extraordinary concert during the Silesian Science Festival. Get the entrance ticket!
On the 7th December at 19.00 p.m., Jan Stokłosa’s concert will take place on the main stage in the ICC Multi-function Hall in Katowice, who together with the orchestra will perform pieces of film music during the City of Science evening.
The celebration of the European City of Science Katowice 2024 will be summed up in the Evening of the City of Science, during which a concert of film music will take place.

During the concert, the musicians will take you on a journey through the most famous themes of film music. You will learn many interesting facts related to the presented topics, and you will also play together with 40 musicians of Stokłosa Collective Orchestra. We will take you to the prehistoric world of the Jurassic Park and the duels of the Pirates of the Caribbean. James Bond and I will perform Mission impossible, look in Eye of the Tiger and roar like the Lion King as we traverse the jungle with Indiana Jones. Unforgettable emotions await you and an evening full of impressions!
The concert will consist of Jan Stokłosa’s original arrangements of the greatest film themes – both Polish and foreign. Most of the titles are medleye – compilations of the most famous topics, often very spectacular. During the concert, Jan Stokłosa will also talk about interesting facts related to given titles and the creation of film music. During the concert, the conductor will engage you to actively participate, which will reduce the barrier between the stage and the audience.
During the event, there will also be an opportunity to read the Declaration of the City of Science, as well as to listen to a summary of the activities carried out during the whole year of the European City of Science Katowice 2024.
