On 11th December, the Silesian University of Technology will be visited by the eminent professor Paolo Samorì from the University of Strasbourg. We cordially invite you to the lectures of the Professor, which will be delivered on Wednesday, December 11th in the D Hall of the Education and Congress Centre of the Silesian University of Technology. At 10.00, the guest will give a lecture entitled “Interdisciplinary research at the frontier of knowledge: addressing global challenges”, followed by the lecture entitled “Two-dimensional materials meet molecular science: tuning properties to engineer high-performance applications” at 14:30.
Paolo Samorì is the Distinguished Professor at the Université de Strasbourg, Emeritus Director of the Institut de Science et d’Ingénierie Supramoléculaires (ISIS) and Director of the Nanochemistry Laboratory. He has extensive experience in the field of nanochemistry, supramolecular sciences, materials chemistry, and scanning probe microscopies with a specific focus on graphene and other 2D materials as well as functional organic/polymeric and hybrid nanomaterials for application in optoelectronics, energy and sensing.
Prof. Paolo Samorì is an author and co-author of 480+ papers, a supervisor of 130+ Master Students, PhD students and Post Docs, an editor in many high impact journals as well as a winner of numerous awards and grants:
