Recruitment for the Silesian Science Festival begins
Another edition of the Silesian Science Festival in Katowice is ahead. This year’s edition will take place from the 7th to 9th December 2024 at the International Congress Centre. Registration for the event will start on Sunday, November 10th.
On Sunday, November 10th at 12:00 am, registration for the eighth edition of the Silesian Science Festival Katowice will start. The event is invariably free of charge and available to everyone, but in order to enter the Festival area and freely use most of the attractions, you must register and download an individual, free ticket.
Organized groups will also be able to register for the event (including participation in the Silesian Science Festival on Monday, December 9th).
Some activities of the Festival are subject to entry limits. Registration for activities with a limited number of places will be available to both individual participants and organized groups after obtaining an entry ticket to the 8th Silesian Science Festival.
The program of the first activities requiring registration will be announced on the 7th of November in the evening – these will be selected stages, workshops and part of lectures requiring registration.
“In the coming weeks, we will gradually expand the offer of activities to sign up to and we will publish the full program of the Silesian Science Festival,” the organizers announced.

Other names of special guests who will conduct fascinating meetings, lectures and workshops in December include Prof Lewis Dartnell, Dr Eng. Adam Mirek, Dr Hab Agata Chomiczewska, Dr Anna Fogtman, Helena Ciechowska, Dr Karol Dudek-Różycki, Maciej Myśliwiec, Dr Michael Morys-Twarowski, Dr Eng. Natalia Schmidt-Polończyk and Dr Eng. Natalia Wendler.
During this year’s edition of the Silesian Science Festival, OFF Science – Review of Garage Inventions will also take place. The call for competition entries is slowly coming to an end.

We are looking for constructors of all ages, acting individually or in teams (up to a maximum of five people). We offer cash prizes in three categories: The Award of the Competition Commission, the Festival Audience Award, and the Internet Users Award” – we read on the website of the festival.
