Trip from Ligota transfer center to the university

The Ligota Transfer Center, apart from the Park and Ride terminal, integrates railway and buses. Therefore, there are two ways to travel to the University, one by rail (1), the other by bus (2). There is no direct connection between the Ligota Transfer Center and the University. Therefore, you should go from the Ligota Transfer Center to the Brynów Transfer Center or to the Katowice railway station. Then you should make a change at the indicated places and continue your journey. The manner of travel between the indicated intermediate interchanges and the University is described in separate points. The description of the trip for the Ligota transfer center presents only the method of travel between the indicated interchange and the two above-mentioned interchanges, intermediate in reaching the University. The travel routes are shown in the figure below.

 Access to the car park at the Ligota transfer center is possible directly from local roads in the immediate vicinity of the interchange.

More detailed information on the arrival and departure times of trams and tram lines that can be used to make the start and end of the journey as close as possible to the expectations and needs is obtained through the journey planner. Travel times and scheduled departure times, as well as the frequency of the service, depend on the time of day. Traveling along route No. 1 is carried out by rail and then by tram. The journey includes the following stages:

1. Use of the infrastructure elements of the interchange, including the walking between the park and ride terminal and the "Katowice Ligota" railway station, approximately 250 m long
2. Travel by train of any line in the directions: Katowice or Czestochowa to the Katowice railway station. Get off at the second stop,
3. Continuation of the journey as described in point XXX between the Katowice railway station and the University

At the Katowice Ligota railway station, you can buy a ticket at a ticket machine or directly on the train from the crew. There is no ticket office at the station, but you can buy a ticket before the journey, directly on the above indicated website.

Traveling along route no. 2 is carried out by bus and then by tram. The journey includes the following stages

1. Use of the infrastructure elements of the interchange, including the walking between the car park and the "Ligota Dworzec PKP" bus stop, approximately 230 m long
2. Travel by bus to the Brynów Transfer Center.
3. Continuation of the trip as described in point XXX between the Brynów Transfer Center and the University
