Professors from out faculty among the world’s most influential scientists
Three university professors from the Faculty of Transport and Aviation Engineering have been ranked among the world’s most influential scientists in a 2021 list compiled by Stanford University and published in October 2022 by Elsevier BV (https://elsevier.digitalcommonsdata.com/datasets/btchxktzyw/4). The two professors, Elżbieta Macioszek, PhD DSc, and Dorota Burchart, PhD DSc, who were also present in the ranking a year earlier, were joined by Piotr Nowakowski, PhD DSc. Twenty-seven authors from the Silesian University of Technology, more than a thousand from Poland, and from the world about 200,000 out of about 9 million checked, appear in the list for 2021. Achievements were evaluated on the basis of citations of publications according to the Scopus database in accordance with the rules published a few years earlier in PLoS Biology.
