Showcase Oxford-Style Debate
The first Education Day in the history of the Silesian University of Technology was held on 12 May 2026. The event was devoted to modern academic teaching, cooperation between science and business, and the future of engineering education.
The programme included a showcase Oxford-style debate featuring Jan Wołczyński, a student of the Faculty of Organization and Management and Chair of the Faculty’s Student Government Council.
Jan Wołczyński took part in the session entitled “Showcase Oxford-Style Debate – Learn About This Tool – Presentation” as the fourth speaker for the Opposition. The debate focused on the motion: “The Silesian University of Technology should encourage its students to use AI in the educational process.”
The Opposition won the debate. Congratulations on the effective and persuasive argumentation!
During Education Day, the following student research clubs from the Faculty of Organization and Management also presented their activities:
- SOLVER Student Project Management Research Club,
- “Cognitus” Student Cognitive Technologies Research Club.
