The final of the Zabrze-based school competitions organized as part of the National Career Week 2025 took place on 16 January 2026 at the Faculty of Organization and Management of the Silesian University of Technology.

At the invitation of the Dean, Professor Aleksandra Kuzior, the Faculty welcomed, among others, school principals, representatives of the management of the District Labour Office in Zabrze, career counsellors working in educational institutions, as well as finalists of literary, artistic, and visual arts competitions prepared for participants of NCW 2025. Last year’s edition of the event was held under the slogan “The Power of Relationships in the Era of Loneliness.”

One of the coordinators of NCW 2025 was the District Labour Office in Zabrze, whose Director, Elżbieta Korecka, welcomed the guests. This was followed by a summary of the activities carried out in Zabrze, and Andrzej Kasperek, a career counsellor from Primary School No. 15 (the second coordinator), announced the winners of the individual competitions. In her speech preceding the award ceremony, Professor Aleksandra Kuzior wished all young participants satisfaction from their achievements and plenty of energy to further pursue their passions.

A particularly emotional moment for the youngest award recipients was the opportunity to strike the “victory gong”, whose sound usually marks the successful defense of diploma theses. An additional attraction for invited guests was a tour of the Faculty’s facilities, combined with presentations of thematic laboratories and the “student zone”, offering amenities designed to help students relax during breaks between classes.

Director Elżbieta Korecka expressed her gratitude to all partners of the initiative, including the Guild of Craftsmen of Small and Medium Entrepreneurship and Employers in Zabrze, the Voivodeship Labour Office in Katowice, the Centre for Practical and Continuing Education in Zabrze, Primary School with Integration Units No. 14 named after Adam Mickiewicz in Zabrze, the Psychological and Pedagogical Counselling Centre in Zabrze, Kindergarten No. 12 in Zabrze, Primary School with Integration Units No. 8 named after Janusz Korczak in Zabrze, and the Secondary School Complex No. 14 in Zabrze. Special words of appreciation and thanks were addressed by the Director of the District Labour Office to Professor Aleksandra Kuzior.
