Lecture by Professor Lefteris Topaloglou from the University of Western Macedonia
The Dean of the Faculty, Professor Aleksandra Kuzior, invites all interested parties to a lecture titled "Just Energy Transition: Challenges and Perspectives" by Professor Lefteris Topaloglou from the University of Western Macedonia, Head of ENTRA Lab (Energy Transition Laboratory).
Professor Lefteris Topaloglou's research interests focus on energy transition, energy policy, just transition, and European territorial cooperation. His research experience spans 28 projects, most of which have received long-term funding from the European Commission (FP5, FP6, FP7, HORIZON, ESPON) in topics related to borders and transformation.
The lecture, "Just Energy Transition: Challenges and Perspectives," will cover the following topics:
- The history of just transition,
- Benefits and risks of just transition,
- The European Green Deal,
- Just Transition Mechanism,
- Territorial Just Transition Plans.
