WOIZ Staff at the European Congress of Small and Medium Enterprises
On October 29-30, Katowice hosted the 14th edition of the European Congress of Small and Medium Enterprises.
WOIZ was well represented, with Prof. Aleksandra Kuzior, Dean of the Faculty, delivering an introductory speech and moderating a discussion on "Social Enterprise – a Socially Responsible Path for SME Development." Dr. Seweryn Tchórzewski, faculty member and coordinator of the "Social Economy Support Center" project, also participated in the panel, organized by the Regional Cooperation Association.
The discussion covered key topics, including:
- Is CSR solely the domain of large enterprises?
- What are the benefits and risks of being a social entrepreneur?
- How to establish a social enterprise?
- Are there real support systems for social enterprises, such as EU funds?
The session attracted nearly 100 attendees, including many young people interested in establishing social enterprises. It provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas and share experiences.
