We kindly inform that the Accessibility Office (in Polish: Biuro Dostępności – BD) is available to all students and doctoral candidates of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. The Office is located in the Rectorate building at Akademicka Street 2A, room 118, and is open from Monday to Friday, between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Students receive all necessary support during individual meetings and personal, telephone, and email consultations regarding all activities offered by BD.
The Office’s task is to ensure conditions for full participation in the educational process for persons with disabilities, as well as equal opportunities to access the full educational offer of the Silesian University of Technology. Additionally, the BD assists students of the Silesian University of Technology who report the need for such support and do not have a disability degree certificate. Students can take advantage of both the BD and the Rector’s Plenipotentiary for Accessibility, as well as Faculty Deans’ Plenipotentiaries for Persons with Disabilities, where they receive comprehensive support according to their individual needs.
In difficult situations requiring specialist support, students and doctoral candidates may benefit from free psychological consultations offered by the university. The consultations are provided by G-Home Psychological Center (available in Polish, English, Ukrainian, and Russian) in Gliwice, Zabrze, Katowice, Chorzów, Bytom, Tychy, Bielsko-Biała, Opole, Kraków, Warsaw, Rzeszów, as well as online.
