ERASMUS+

Under the ERASMUS+ programme you can go to study abroad as part of your studies at your home university and receive a scholarship which compensates your living costs abroad partially. The basic scholarship period is one semester (maximum 5 months). It is also possible to go on an internship, which is related to the field of study (maximum 4 months) to companies, enterprises, research institutes, etc.

Students may participate in Erasmus+ mobility within the permitted so-called “mobility capital”, i.e. a maximum of 12 months per each study level, regardless of the form of mobility (study and internship periods are summed up).

Recruitment is divided into two stages:

– faculty qualification – conducted by the Faculty Qualification Committee,

– central verification – conducted by the International Mobility Office.

It is also important to have your own financial resources because of the difference between the scholarship and the actual cost of living abroad.

STUDY QUALIFICATION RULES

Requirements:

– completed 1st year of studies,

– good academic results,

– good knowledge of the foreign language in which the studies will be conducted,

– filling in the information questionnaire (LINK).

The questionnaire is available all the time, but please pay attention to the deadline for applying set in the “List of Erasmus+ agreements for the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering” (downloadable at the bottom of the page). Deadlines set after taking into account the application deadline at the host university:

  • mobility during the winter semester: I deadline: 5 March, II deadline: 5 April, III deadline: 5 June,
  • mobility during the summer semester: I deadline: 5 September, II deadline: 5 October, III deadline: 5 November.

If the universities you choose have different deadlines, you must take into account the earlier deadline when applying so that your documents arrive on time.

A candidate who has met the requirements is qualified for the mobility by the Faculty Qualification Committee. Then prepares the required application documents which, after being accepted by the Faculty Coordinator, are sent to the International Exchange Section. There, further steps take place – from the nomination to the chosen university to the settlement of the mobility. The host university decides about accepting a student qualified by the Committee, based on its own criteria.
