„Poland’s participation in the ESRF””
With a brand-new generation of high-energy synchrotron, the ESRF is the world’s brightest X-ray source and a centre of excellence for fundamental and innovation-driven research in condensed and living matter science. Located in Grenoble, France, the ESRF owes its success to the international cooperation of 22 partner nations.

Short description of the project:
The aim of the activity is to provide Polish scientists with access to the European Synchrotron Radiation Center – ESRF. Polish scientists and technologists gained access to a unique device that allows them to conduct research and educate scientific staff at the highest world level. This applies to the most important strategic areas of applied and basic physics, chemistry, biophysics, molecular biology and biotechnology, materials science, pharmacology, geology, environmental protection and many other disciplines. No other source of synchrotron radiation in Europe possesses radiation with properties like ESRF and cannot replace access to this source.
