Competition for the best Master’s thesis on the application of computational methods to the simulation of heat and flow processes
For this year’s edition of the competition, master’s theses and outstanding bachelor’s theses defended between 1 January 2025 and 31 December 2025 may be submitted. Deadline for submissions: 30 May 2026. Theses should relate to the application of computational techniques to the modelling of thermal and flow processes in any field of engineering and science. Theses may be written in Polish or English. Theses should be submitted in electronic form (PDF file) to rafal.fingas@polsl.pl. The results of the competition will be announced around July 2026.
The selection of the best theses will be conducted in two stages. In the first stage, four or five finalists will be selected from among the entries submitted to the competition. The second stage will consist of the presentation of the final entries to a jury appointed by the organisations hosting the competition. The winning entries will receive cash prizes sponsored by Hitachi Energy, MESco, SymKom and SBB Energy. The total prize fund amounts to approximately 20,000 PLN.
