Faculty of Applied Mathematics Department of Mathematics

The Faculty of Applied Mathematics at the Silesian University of Technology once again showcased its programmes at the EDUKACJA 2026 National Education Fair at Spodek in Katowice. As in previous years, our stand attracted numerous students interested in studying mathematics and computer science. We would like to thank all visitors for the inspiring conversations and the excellent atmosphere!

Visitors were keen to ask about the practical aspects of studying – from laboratory classes, through working with modern IT tools, specialisations and research projects, to employment prospects and international opportunities. All these questions and many others were answered by representatives of our Faculty, namely:

Our students were happy to share their experiences – telling prospective students about what student life is like, the projects they’re working on, the course subjects, the admissions process, and all the events and activities that take place at our Faculty. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the stand organisers, and in particular to our students, for creating a fantastic atmosphere and for their openness, smiles and professionalism, which helped make our stand a place full of conversation, inspiration and motivation for further development.
