The Student Council of the Department of Applied Mathematics has been awarded the Rector’s Prize!
The Student Council of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics is the body representing the students of our Faculty. Council members are elected by the student community and enjoy its special trust. Their main task is to look after the students’ interests, support them in day-to-day matters related to their studies, and actively participate in the life of the Faculty.
Our Faculty’s Student Council organises a wide range of events, such as social gatherings, cultural projects and initiatives aimed at developing and bringing together our academic community. The Council also supports students with formal matters – including those relating to scholarships and student rights – and maintains active communication through social media and its own information initiatives.
Among the wide range of activities undertaken by our Student Council, we can also mention, for example, participation in the student parliament, the organisation of the Faculty Ball, social trips, film nights, faculty barbecues, and ‘Tea with the Student Council’, an event where, in a friendly atmosphere over a cup of hot tea, students had the opportunity to chat with members of the Faculty Student Council.
Once again, congratulations on your wonderful ideas, projects and the Rector’s Award you have won!
