New partnership with the Comprehensive School in Pawłowice – establishment of an academic class
The collaboration includes a wide range of educational and scientific activities designed for students planning to pursue studies in STEM disciplines. Participants will take part in popular‑science lectures delivered by the Faculty’s staff, including classes in advanced mathematics, mathematical logic, linear algebra, and elements of mathematical analysis. The program also provides workshops, software‑based classes, and study visits to the Silesian University of Technology, offering students an opportunity to explore the academic environment firsthand.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Silesian University of Technology by Prof. Marcin Woźniak, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics. The meeting also included representatives of our Faculty: Dr. Mariusz Pleszczyński, Vice‑Dean for Education and Student Affairs, who presented graduation‑support gifts (mathematics exam calculators) to the school’s seniors, and Dr. Adam Zielonka, Vice‑Dean for Infrastructure and Organization.
This initiative strengthens the Faculty’s cooperation with regional schools and builds bridges between secondary and university education. It provides Pawłowice students with access to valuable knowledge, academic inspiration, and opportunities that may shape their future scientific paths.
