We live in an age where the development of technology and industry is accelerating day by day. This has its consequences, both positive, in the form of new technologies and improvements in our lives, but also negative, such as environmental pollution. However, we can take care of the world we live in. The method of small steps works great here, additionally supported by substantive knowledge, which i.a. scientists of the Silesian University of Technology have. Our scientists decided to share this knowledge with you, and that is why we would like to invite you to participate in the Eco-city competition, which we start on 1 October 2021. The competition is dedicated to teams under the supervision of a teacher and is held in two age groups – for primary school students, classes VI-VIII, and secondary school students (high school and technical school). 

The competition is taking place between 1 October 1 2021 and 30 April 2022 and consists in the implementation of tasks in the field of ecological solutions in the city, the authors of which are our scientists. The tasks together with the theoretical study necessary to complete the competition task, will be published in stages on our website. You should send the results of your work on the dates specified for each task, and our Jury will evaluates them. Attractive prizes await the winners – the three teams from each age group that score the highest number of points. We will hand them over at the Final Gala of the Competition in June 2022 at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice.
