International Meeting on Animal Venom Peptides with Therapeutic Properties
We are happy to announce that Ihtisham Ul Haq had a chance to participate in the International Meeting on Animal Venom Peptides with Therapeutic Properties that was organized at the University of Brasilia between 11th and 14th December. The main focus of IMonATP was on the possibilities of using these peptides to develop new drugs for the treatment of various diseases, such as infections, cancer, neurological and cardiovascular diseases, among others.
Ihtisham showed a presentation entitled "Antibiofilm effects of LyeTx I mnΔK, a synthetic peptide derived from Lycosa erythrognatha spider venom, against quinolone-resistant uropathogenic Escherichia coli (UPEC)".
