Investigation of "small molecule-activity modulators" as potential transdifferentiating agents in the context of selected biomaterials - AI supported multi parameter approach.
Qualifications:
Person with some skills in additive manufacturing (or at least strong interest in the area), with strong interest of developing and mastering skills in mammalian cell culture, or person with some skills in mammalian cell culture with strong interest in the development of skills in additive manufacturing. Some skills (or at least strong interest in the area) in AI-aided project optimization is an asset. The candidate must hold MSc or equivalent, either in biochemistry, biology, medicine (or similar area), or computer sciences.
Tasks:
Assisting postdoc with development and testing of combinations of composite biomaterials capable of support of desired phenotypes of cells obtained by small-molecule-based transdifferentiation. Performing and optimization of transdifferentiation tasks (commercially-acquired fat-derived mesenchymal stem cells and/or human dermal fibroblasts to oseoblasts and/or chondroblasts, and other cell types). Use or AI-based strategies for optimization of transdifferentiation procedures. Performing of biocompoatiblity tests and other tests related to cell-biomaterial interactions (i.e. growth rate, phenotype stability, etc.). Writing first drafts of scientific manuscripts. Participation in lab-general keep-up and cleaning duties.
