Specialization

an environmental engineering, an environmental biotechnology.

Research interests:

A sewage and  a waste biotechnology. Specifically they focus on processes related to the nitrogen cycle. They concern problem related to biodiversity, activity and inhibition of microorganisms responsible for nitrification, denitrification and the Anammox process. They are also associated with the technologies of removing organic compounds, nitrogen and phosphorus which are used in the treatment of municipal and industrial wastewater. An important direction of research are also anaerobic digestion, valuable products recovery and hybrid wastewater treatment processes combining advanced an oxidation processes (AOPs) with a biological processes in order to eliminate a biodegradable resistances from wastewater, occurring both in high concentrations and in the form of micropollutants.
