Appreciated for attendance in Life project!
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Life program (https://www.lifeis30.eu/), we received a letter thanking us for our participation in the program. The official LIFEis30 calendar included nearly 400 events from 33 different countries. Events organized under the project "Silesia. Blue Sky Restored" accounted for more than 12% of all events in the European Union and more than 85% in Poland.
The project "Silesia. Blue Sky Restored" (https://przywracamyblekit.slaskie.pl/ https://www.facebook.com/slaskie.przywracamy.blekit), in which the Silesian University of Technology is one of the substantive partners, was recognized for its high activity. This is the second year of the project, and the most interesting events and activities are yet to come. The project at SUT is implemented by two Departments - of Thermal Technology and of Management.
We are extremely pleased that as a Department we are participating in this program. We are training (at a specially created postgraduate course) a group of 80 municipal representatives, the so-called eco-counselors, who will act locally in the area of one municipality, providing consulting services to residents and initiating and coordinating local activities to improve air quality.
We also participated in other project events, including the Metrolopital Energy Days 2022 in Katowice (https://www.lifeis30.eu/life_action/metropolitan-energy-days/).
