Congratulations to dr. Ewa Karchniwy!
On May 26, 2022, the Council of the Discipline of Environmental Engineering, Mining and Energy conferred the doctoral degree with honors on Ewa Karchniwy.
The dissertation entitled "Detailed numerical modeling of solid fuels conversion processes" was carried out in a double mode, in the Department of Thermal Technology, where the supervisor was Prof. Adam Klimanek, and at the Norwegian NTNU, where the role of supervisor was played by Prof. Terese Løvås, and the associate supervisor on behalf of the research organization SINTEF was Dr. Nils Erland L. Haugen.
The work was meticulously evaluated by three reviewers:
- Prof. Jacek Pozorski, Eng. from the Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery, Polish Academy of Sciences
- D. Eng. Norbert Modliński from Wroclaw University of Technology
- Rafał Buczyński, Ph. D., Eng. from the AGH University of Science and Technology
