Faculty of Biomedical Engineering

On November 26, 2025, the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology hosted the 5th Scientific Conference entitled “Standardization, comprehensiveness, and personalized methods of treating developmental defects and diseases in children.” The event was organized by the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of the Musculoskeletal System for Children of the Municipal Hospital Complex in Chorzów and the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology. The conference was held under the honorary patronage of, among others, the Silesian University of Technology, the Mechanics Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the European Center for Innovative Technologies for Health, and the Center for Quality Monitoring in Healthcare.

During the event, several specialist thematic panels were held, discussing, among other things, modern methods of diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders in children, the importance of personalised therapy, and clinical and engineering cooperation in the creation of innovative medical solutions. Many employees of our faculty were involved in the event, both in terms of organization and content. Many of them actively participated in the conference, presenting valuable and innovative research results.
