ATI Industrial Evolution 2026 – The Future of Industrial Cybersecurity
From 10 to 12 June 2026, Szczyrk hosted the ATI – Industrial Evolution 2026 II XII CyberRANGE ISAC SIG conference, dedicated to challenges related to the digital transformation of industry, cybersecurity of OT/ICS systems, and the resilience of critical infrastructure.

The event was organised by the Silesian University of Technology, represented by the Faculty of Mining, Safety Engineering and Industrial Automation, in cooperation with the Polish Geological Institute – National Research Institute and the Foundation for the Faculty of Mining, Safety Engineering and Industrial Automation. The three-day programme combined a plenary session, the practical XII CyberRANGE exercise, technical workshops, and presentations focused on situational awareness systems in modern industrial facilities.

The ATI – Industrial Evolution 2026 conference continues the long-standing tradition initiated by scientists associated with the Silesian University of Technology – Dr hab. inż. Antoni Wojaczek, Professor of the Silesian University of Technology, and Dr inż. Kazimierz Miśkiewicz, founders of the renowned “Automation–Telecommunication–Information Technology” conference series.

Representatives of our Faculty actively participated in the event, presenting research results and practical experience related to industrial infrastructure security. The discussed topics included, among others, new challenges in AI security for critical infrastructure, situational awareness systems for underground mining operations, analysis of threats related to malicious interference with industrial controller software, and the integration of cybersecurity requirements into industrial transformation processes.

The conference brought together representatives of public administration, academia, industry, the cybersecurity sector, and the mining sector, creating a platform for knowledge exchange and cooperation aimed at strengthening the digital resilience of modern industrial facilities.
