Agreement Signed on Joining ISAC SIG

The Silesian University of Technology has joined ISAC SIG – a platform for the exchange and analysis of information on threats affecting the raw materials sector and geodiversity. The initiative to join this platform was undertaken by the Faculty of Mining, Safety Engineering and Industrial Automation, which has been developing activities in the fields of industrial safety, automation and cybersecurity for many years.

The cooperation agreement was signed on 10 June this year at the Silesian University of Technology. On behalf of the University, the document was signed by Prof. Zbigniew Paszenda, Vice-Rector for Infrastructure and Investment. The event represents another stage in developing cooperation between the academic community, research institutes and industry in the area of knowledge exchange, threat analysis and strengthening the digital resilience of critical infrastructure. Cooperation within ISAC SIG will enable further development of joint initiatives, experience sharing and the advancement of competencies necessary to ensure the cybersecurity of the raw materials and industrial sectors.
