Practical field experience: Field trip for Safety Engineering students
On June 1st, fourth-semester Safety Engineering students participated in a field trip as part of the course "Presentation of Degree Profiles." The event took place at the PGG KWK ROW Ruch Chwałowice coal mine. During the visit, participants learned about the scope of work of the OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) department and the workplace safety solutions implemented at the mine. The itinerary included a descent to the 800-meter level, where the students could experience underground working conditions firsthand and observe the ongoing shaft II deepening project.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Mine Staff: Mr. Ireneusz Nowak (Deputy Head of the OHS Department at KWK ROW), Mr. Tomasz Janoszek (Chief Mining Engineer at KWK ROW Ruch Chwałowice), and Mr. Krzysztof Karwot (Mining Chief Overseer at PBSz S.A.) for their guidance and for sharing their valuable expertise.
We also extend our thanks to Mr. Tomasz Tkocz (Director of the PGG KWK ROW Mine) and Mr. Adam Parma (Chief OHS Engineer at the PGG KWK ROW Mine) for making this visit possible and for their assistance in organizing the classes.
