Wizyta prof. George’a Hloupisa z University of West Attica na naszym Wydziale
On April 15-17, 2026, the Faculty of Mining, Safety Engineering and Industrial Automation hosted Prof. George Hloupis from the University of West Attica in Athens, Greece.
The guest visited the Faculty as part of the Erasmus+ academic exchange. During the visit, he delivered lectures for students of Geodesy and Cartography. The topics of the lectures included "Digital Twins and AI agents" and "AI and Digital Twins for Disaster Risk Reduction."
At the meeting with students, Prof. George Hloupis presented opportunities for academic exchange not only through the Erasmus+ program.
Additionally, a meeting was held with Dr. Hab. Eng. Violetta Sokoła-Szewioła, Prof. SUT, Vice-Dean of the Faculty for Science and Cooperation, and a group of employees, during which the possibilities of further scientific and didactic cooperation between the Universities were discussed.
We hope that further projects and joint scientific publications will strengthen this international cooperation.
