About the Speakers
Prof. Mazni Omar Associate Professor at the School of Computing (SOC) and a Research Fellow at the Institute of Advanced and Smart Digital Opportunities (IASDO) at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). She holds professional certifications in software testing (CTFL and CTFL-AT). Her research focuses on software engineering, including advanced project management, development processes, software quality, and data mining. Prof. Omar has contributed extensively to her field through numerous publications in prestigious journals and book chapters. She has coordinated various research grants ranging from university-level to international projects involving industrial corporations and EU Erasmus+ initiatives. Her work bridges the gap between computer science and social sciences, focusing on the human aspects of advanced software engineering.
Prof. Kamal Sharif Distinguished Professor at the Department of Logistics and Transport, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM MY). With over 14 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Prof. Sharif specializes in supply chain management within the energy sector. His professional background involves analyzing the complex dynamics of oil and gas logistics and raw material supply chains. His current research focuses on supply chain optimization, sustainability, risk-based systems, operational improvement, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria. In addition to his academic role, he serves as a consultant for logistics firms, blending practical industry expertise with theoretical research to address the evolving challenges of logistics and technology.
