Nasi pracownicy powołani do Komitetu Naukowego ISAC SIG
We are pleased to announce that Anna Manowska, DSc, Eng., Prof. of the Silesian University of Technology, and Jarosław Joostberens, DSc, Eng., Prof. of the Silesian University of Technology, have been appointed to the Scientific Committee of ISAC SIG – the Information Sharing and Analysis Centre for Raw Materials and Geodiversity.

ISAC SIG is the first sectoral cybersecurity centre in Poland dedicated to the raw materials and geological sector. Its mission is to strengthen the digital resilience of this sector and to protect critical infrastructure against cyber threats.
The centre was established on the initiative of the Polish Geological Institute – National Research Institute (PIG-PIB), the State Mining Authority (WUG), and the Mineral and Energy Economy Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IGSMiE PAN). The activities of ISAC SIG are based on the integration of scientific knowledge, industrial expertise, and a systemic approach to cyber-threat management in the raw materials sector.
As part of the initiative, an integrated platform for the exchange of information and analyses related to cyber threats is being developed. It also includes tools supporting early warning systems and cooperation between research institutions, public administration, and industry representatives.
The appointment of representatives of the Silesian University of Technology to the Scientific Committee of ISAC SIG is a significant distinction and confirms the active involvement of the academic community in developing research and activities aimed at strengthening cybersecurity and protecting the critical infrastructure of the raw materials sector.
