Wizyta prof. José Fernandesa na Wydziale Górnictwa, Inżynierii Bezpieczeństwa i Automatyki Przemysłowej
From May 5th to 8th, 2025, the Faculty of Mining, Safety Engineering and Industrial Automation hosted Professor José Fernandes from the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto and the University of Aveiro in Portugal.
As part of the Erasmus+ program, Professor Fernandes delivered a series of lectures focused on sustainable development in the mineral and mining sectors, with particular emphasis on the northern region of Portugal.
During the visit, a meeting was held with the Deputy Dean for Cooperation and Development, Dr. hab. Eng. Violetta Sokoła-Szewioła, Prof. SUT, during which the scope of potential future collaboration was discussed, especially in the area of international research projects.
Professor Fernandes also met with faculty members to identify potential research directions that could serve as the basis for future project funding applications.
The visit was coordinated by Dr. hab. Eng. Paweł Wrona, Prof. SUT, from the Department of Safety Engineering.
