Deputy Dean for Infrastructure and Organization
of the Faculty of Mining, Safety Engineering, and Industrial Automation
She graduated from the Bolesław Chrobry High School in Pszczyna and then began her studies at the Silesian University of Technology. She graduated with two degrees: at the Faculty of Mining and Geology, she obtained a master’s degree in engineering, specializing in Mining Organization and Economics, and at the Faculty of Computer Science and Automation, she obtained a degree in engineering, specializing in Computer Science. She also completed postgraduate studies in Occupational Health and Safety at the Silesian University of Technology.
She obtained her doctorate in technical sciences in the field of mining and engineering geology at the Faculty of Mining and Geology of the Silesian University of Technology in 2010. In 2021, by decision of the Council of the Faculty of Mining and Geology of the Silesian University of Technology, she received the academic degree of habilitated doctor in the field of environmental engineering, mining, and energy.
Currently a professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Industrial Automation, she also serves as Deputy Dean for Infrastructure and Organization at the Faculty of Mining, Safety Engineering, and Industrial Automation. Her research interests include machine learning, distributed systems, renewable energy sources, and industrial process optimization.
Her specialization covers energy transition, statistical analysis of energy markets, and the integration of artificial intelligence into industrial processes. She has authored and co-authored more than 200 scientific publications—journal articles, book chapters, and conference papers—and has managed numerous scientific and research projects.
In 2025, 2024 and 2023, she was ranked among the top 2% of the most cited scientists in the world, confirming her contribution to the development of science on the international stage. She cooperates with industry in the implementation of innovative technological solutions, particularly in the area of computerization and optimization of production processes.
Active as a reviewer of numerous scientific articles, she also serves on the review board of the journal Symmetry. Her achievements have been honored with multiple awards, including the Rector’s Awards of the Silesian University of Technology for scientific and teaching accomplishments, the title of First-Degree Mining Director, and the National Education Medal.
Alongside her research, she engages in outreach activities, organizing workshops on generative artificial intelligence and educational projects.
