International Project POSTEN
We are pleased to inform you that together with Partners we have started the international project POSTEN - Scalable, innovative floating photovoltaic power plant using energy buffer storage and easily relocatable single-wire power transmission, valued at €13,732,737.00. The project has been positively evaluated by the European Commission and has received funding of €6,866,368.19.
It aims to produce breakthrough technologies in the field of photovoltaic farms for implementation on degraded land, wetlands and water reservoirs. The designed RES, together with buffer storage and single-wire transmission of energy, will significantly improve the portability of the entire installation to further locations as the rehabilitation of degraded areas progresses.
As part of the project, we will be responsible for SWET - Single Wire Energy Transmission with a power of 100 kW at voltage of about 5 kV and frequency about 10-30 kHz in a resonant mode. The project duration is 4 years, until February 2029.
The project involves scientists of the KENER Department, and the project manager on behalf of the Silesian University of Technology is Dr. Eng. Marcin Kasprzak, prof. PŚ.
